At the heart of any successful community... 2 Dear Colleague, We are delighted to commend to you this special edition of our Values Education Newsletter. It features the innovative work of a number of Secondary Schools that are developing a values-based approach to the curriculum. Increasingly, secondary schools are seeing the benefits of such an holistic approach. As you may be aware, there is growing research evidence of the academic and social success of values-based schools (Lovat & Toomey, 2007).
