Congratulations to Lyneham Primary School in Wiltshire for being awarded the Quality Mark as a Values-based School for the second time. Application for the Quality Mark occurs every three year period. Dr Neil Hawkes spent the day at the school and reported back to the staff and governors at the end of the day. He said: “The school has developed its Values work to an outstanding standard and is a model of good practice. The children understand the values vocabulary and act as role models to each other. Values Education is affecting families too in a very positive way.” Lyneham, near Royal Wootton Bassett in Wiltshire is acting as a focus school for other schools in the area. Hi Neil
Attended your training event in Louth in Jan 2012/joint Fulstow School. We have since visited Fulstow and
I wanted to get in touch to let you know about our plans to introduce values based education at our school. We are starting with a \’vote for your values\’ workshop on Wednesday this week. We have invited parents, govs, community reps etc to join teacher and parents in some fun values workshops. Following this we will all have the chance to vote for our favourite values – this will inform our long term plan. Also planning a \’Values Production\’ of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat\’ this summer.
We will send you more details and keep you updated on progress?
Regards Kerri (v excited to be starting values ed!)
(I was so pleased to receive this from Kerri. Neil)

Dear Mr Hawkes,
Have not forgotten you. You will surely be glad to know that the Living Values programme at Beau Vallon Secondary school is still very much alive. We have just submitted the project to be published in the Guidebook to Education Initiatives in the Commonwealth. The launching will take take in Mauritius in August. Hope the project is accepted. Thank you for making the school what it is today-top on the list where discipline is concerned. We also came out first for IGCSE results. Once again Thank you.

Values Based Education is such a beautifully simple concept which Neil has championed magnificently. How immensely proud he must be knowing that he has made a difference to the lives of so many people all over the world. Simple it may be, but how difficult to spread the word in this busy, hectic world which so needs to hear about this.
I am extremely excited about what I hope we can achieve at The Downley School.

The Head and colleagues at Victoria Primary School in South Wales hosted a day’s training with Neil Hawkes last Thursday. Neil said, “I was delighted to work with such an outstanding group of colleagues. The Quiet Revolution is taking a firm hold in South Wales where the role of Values Education is seen as vital in raising real standards in schools and helping the community to develop values consciousness.”
